DESCRIPTION
Decoustics Acoustical Baffle and Free Hanging Screens consist of two 1" (25 mm) thick cores assembled to produce an overall 2" (50 mm) thickness unit which is then upholstered. An optional foil-type septum between the two panels is available to aid in containing sound within an area.
Baffles are available in two types: Type 10 and Type 20. The difference between the two baffles is the bottom edge detail and the baffle shape. Type 10 has a seamless bottom edge with square edges around the panel perimeter and square corners. Type 20 has a seamless, bullnose bottom and vertical edges, square top edge, and radiused bottom edge corners.
Free hanging screens are typically large baffles which provide both acoustical control and visual privacy where a unique form of space division is desired.
All baffles and free hanging screens are supplied with "D"-ring mounting hardware for attachment to hangers supplied by others (chain, wire or other type suspension components and anchors).
Note: Special clips are available from Decoustics for baffle and screen connection to standard 15/16" (24 mm) T-bar grid.
PANELS

DESIGN CONSIDERATIONS
Type 10 baffles and free hanging screens are available with both fabric and vinyl finishes.
Type 10 baffles and free hanging screens can be butted and splined together to form continuous rows.
Type 20 baffles should be individually hung.
Type 20 baffles are available with fabric finish only. Contact Decoustics regarding other finishes, custom designs, and spline details. |
