DESCRIPTION
Decoustics Appliqué is an acoustical wall panel consisting of a medium density core panel and an "appliqué" component consisting of a 1/8" (3 mm) thickness high density proprietary facer which is adhered to the core panel to give the panel or panel area (multiple panels) a flush or 3-D (raised) effect in any design e.g. organizational logo, landscape, pattern, or similar design. Appliqué may also be employed for ceiling applications.
Panels are supplied complete with factory installed devices for different types of mounting e.g. mechanical, adhesive, magnetic, and hook and loop fastener.

PANELS
All Decoustics panels are custom fabricated and offered in a variety of types, sizes, geometric shapes, curves, thicknesses, and finishes.

DESIGN CONSIDERATIONS
Raised appliqué is available with fabric, vinyl and coated finishes (ie. Claro and Metallo) or combinations of these finishes. Flush applique is available with fabric or vinyl finishes only.

MOUNTING METHODS
Mount panels to walls using mechanical, adhesive, magnetic or hook and loop fastening.
Mechanically mount only for panels located above head height (utilize slide and engage z-clips, wall clips and/or track).
If necessary, shim adhesive, magnetic and hook and loop mounted panels to ensure flat substrate.
Use adhesive and mechanical fastening to secure "loop" to wall i.e. stapled with splayed-outward legs.
Consult with fastener manufacturer to determine correct fastener to use for specific substrates, particularly plaster or gypsum board.

Note: It is not always possible to secure panels or mounting hardware to a substrate support such as a steel stud.

Note: Minimize field cutting of panels with the exception of service penetrations such as lights, sprinklers, electrical outlets and similar items where cover trims are provided.
